• You can set an input priority in settings. The tv will tune to that input when the power button is turned on. I have it set to HDMI 4 (4K) input for Xfinity.

• Yes, you can just hook a cable box up or a game system. Just dont download any apps. But if you don’t want a smart tv you can go with less expensive tv’s. I really love the hands free mode with this tv.
