Image quality always depends on the quality of the original video, it’s playback source and the quality of the connection cable. Coaxial connections to service provider cable tv boxes do have limitations. Most cable providers will upgrade your old equipment for a small fee. If you are connecting coaxial to an over the air HDTV antenna, the image quality will depend on your antenna location. A good line of site can provide amazing image quality on this model. However, you must keep in mind that connecting to any source using coaxial cable has always come with sacrifices to picture and audio quality. So when upgrading to a new TV no matter what brand, you should also consider upgrading the source player and how you connect to it.
