HDR is enabled out of the box. If you are using an HDMI connected device plug into HDMI 3 or 4 and in the TV settings change HDMI to enhanced. Take note that the HDR brightness isn't the best but it does work. I believe this TV gets 83% of the color gamut which is right at the line in terms of noticeable HDR differences in picture quality. That all said for $800 @ 65" this is the only TV that comes close to this and other features. To truly experience HDR you want 90% and up. Those TVs cost double the price and more at this size.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought mine yesterday, tried to play hdr content from netflix ( on a roku ultra ) and the screen appears extremely dim. Contacted Hisense and they told me that HDR through HDMI is not enabled yet because the 65 inch set still needs a firmware update to enable it . Tried to watch HDR content from the preloaded apps that come with the TV and Netflix only offer 4k UHD without HDR. Hisense says that they are going to release the update early this year but it is essentially false advertising in my opinion. The only way it supports HDR at this time is through use of the USB port because HDR content is essentially impossible to acquire on an HDD or USB drive it makes its hdr support almost useless at this time.
