Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dolby Atmos is supported, but it would be through Dolby Digital+ (lossy audio). Dolby True HD (lossless) is not as there is no eARC support. It's been stated that the H8G series apparently has HDMI 2.1 interfaces, but it does not seem to support any features that require HDMI 2.1 support (8K, 4K/60 @ 120 Hz, Dolby True HD audio, so it seems kind of pointless -- yea, it has it, but no, it doesn't use it. Perhaps with a firmware update it will support eARC? It does have HDCP 2.2 support.

You will have to hook a blu ray player or Xbox One X via HDMI to the speaker then back to the TV. I've tested it and it works. Does the Hisense 8HG support eARC? No, it does not. If you want to know if a TV can do passthrough. Use the Rtings site that shows you: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/5-1-surround-audio-passthrough
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It supports Dolby Vision, but I'm not sure if the HDMI ports are 2.0 or 2.1. The 4 HDMI ports are 4K60Hz ports, so it would be either 2.0 or 2.1. Hope that helps.
