Hello camtv! Thank you for your interest in the Hisense 75U8QG. This Google TV does not play ads during the startup or input changes. The Google TV Home screen will display sponsored ads (not interruptive) under the menu bar. However, users will be able to navigate through the system without being interrupted by any ads.
