Hi Hisense Customer, Thank you for your interest in the Hisense AHW0823CW1W. You would need to turn off the unit. Open the front panel, grasp the filter by the handle, and pull it out. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the air filter. If the air filter is very dirty, wash it in warm water with a mild detergent. Do not wash the air filter in the dishwasher or use any chemical cleaners. Air-dry the filter completely before replacing to ensure maximum efficiency. Replace the air filter and close the front panel.
