“Is the Vesa mount really 800mm X 400mm as seen in the specifications? Or is that a typo? Most mounting hardware for large screens goes up to 600mm X 400mm.”

It’s that size. I bought the insignia mount for up to 90” tvs. It fits on it and works great.
