“I purchased the game, but sometime during the game, in order for me to proceed, it's telling me that I should buy more content from eNintendo Shop. I already brought the game, why should I purchase more? How can I bypass this?”

You may have downloaded the trial version. The purchased digital download or cartridge shouldn't be prompting you to visit the eShop. If so, I would contact Nintendo customer service.
