• Hello! Thank you for reaching out. This air purifier unit uses two replaceable filters, a HEPA-type filter and a carbon filter. On average, HEPA filters need to be replaced every 12-18 months. • There are three HEPA-type filters. Each of those has a thin carbon filter attached to it. The HEPA filters can last a couple of years. The carbon filters need to be replaced once or twice a year, but they're cheap.
