One at the base for basic use that you would only need to use once in a while if you only use AC mode and you are not in a high humidity area. It has a drain light that comes on when time to drain.
The other drain hole is higher up and it comes with a drain hose to attach. You would only need to use it if you run the dehumidifier. Its a good design that they put this drain higher up on the unit this allows the hose to hang down into a bucket or pail without having to place unit on a stand. Both drain openings have a plug inserted and so farno leaking.
