I would keep an eye on it, especially if the vent house is stretched vertically making rain easier to reach the unit. I'm sure a light rain wont matter, but a downfall with gusts could potentially leak into the unit. Be safe and just take vent out during storms; it's easy to install.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since we've purchased, it has rained a couple of times, including heavy rain. I haven't noticed any rain water coming in and do not suspect that it would unless there was wind blowing in the direction of the hose. Also, no leaking around the window as long as you've properly secured it. Hope that helps!
