Yes, this unit can be installed horizontally and vertically.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no. I just bought this portable air conditioner and will wait to give it review until after I've used it for a few days. But right out of the box, I had to hack it so that it would fit my window. The problem is that it really is meant to fit windows that open up and down and that don't slide. So even with the extra panel, it does not fit in my window, it's too short. Luckily, I still have the panel from the portable air conditioner I owned previously and was able to tape it to the panels for this unit to get it to fit snug in my window. It looks tacky with the tape and I'll be adding that to my review. But so far, the unit itself seems to be working great.
