- Answer Yes. And if you use the dehumidifier mode the water drain tube needs to go somewhere too.

- Answer Cathy, not quite sure what that window type is but my window is a tilt out window that is a small width. I didn’t need the extension piece. Did have to fix a gap on the sides (very small) with cardboard covered with duct tape but it works beautifully. Good luck!

- Answer Hello ! All our portable air conditioners work on self evaporation. These do not need to be drained unless operating in very humid conditions. When the water tank is full with condensation, the unit shut off, indicating that it needs to be drained. All instructions on drainage are mentioned in the product manual given with the unit. Questioni have sliding windows, the opening is 13 inches wide by 31 tall, will the hardware fit a window of this size? Is this unit a 2 hose system?

QuestionMy AC's compressor turns off when the set temp is reached but the fan stays on . The compressor comes back on when the temp rises above the set point. Is the fan suppose to always run on cooling mode?

- Answer I believe so, the fan never shuts off unless you shut the unit down I wish it did have that option to only run the fan when needed
