“Will this filter be effective in a classroom and filter out 99 percent germs? I see 400 kids a week. if not, what system do you have for a 500 Square foot room, and lots of germs?”

Yes. I have a slightly smaller filter by the same manufacturer in my own room and it works well. I'd say this would do very well on the "Auto Setting" in a classroom.

Some Honeywell HEPA and AirGenius air purifiers have been 3rd party tested and found to be effective at reducing certain non-harmful virus and bacteria from the air that passes through the filters. Please note that our filters are rated to remove particles 0.3 microns in size and larger from the air that passes through the filters. The size of the germs will greatly vary depending on what germ it is.
