- Answer No, this may make it worse. You probably want an air purifier, or a combination humidifier and air purifier either with a HEPA or carbon filter.

- Answer I would personally recommend one with a filter for people with allergies since this one does not have a filter. I really love mine but since there is no filter I think it would not be the best option for those with allergies.
