QuestionIf you use it just as an air conditioner do you have to drain it and how often? Most I’ve used somehow absorb moisture and releases it through the hose.

- Answer I bought this unit specifically because the drain line is optional when running only AC, and it has an internal tank. I live in an apt on the 11th floor and have no option to run a water hose outside. For the first few days of operation, I never got a ‘Tank Full’. Indication, but it also didn’t cool the room much. My room is only 440 sq ft, but this is in Honolulu - warm, humid, and my room faces the sun. After a few days I was pretty frustrated, but decided to hook the water hose up, which helped cool the room an additional 5-10 degrees, maybe more. But now I have to empty this 10 gallon trash bucket 2-3 times a day.

- Answer Hi. My window is 28”. I didn’t need the extension for the window. I just put the basic piece in and closed the window. Added some heavy cardboard pieces on each end and taped them to seal out the hot air and rain. Worked like a charm. I think that yours is too small.

- Answer You need an opening to exhaust the hot air. I use a window. It comes with a adjustable bracket for the hose. You will need to insulate the window yourself around the bracket.

- Answer Hi Kim, When you press on the temperature control button you can move it to whichever temperature you'd like the unit to cool to. After you make that adjustment the screen will show the current temperature of the room. Thanks!

QuestionIs there a specific type of window opening this can fit with? My window opens on a hinge and I want to make sure I get full coverage somehow.

- Answer This needs a window that can close tightly to the included attachment (which works with horizontal or vertical openings). I'm not quite sure how you can make your window work. If it's what I imagine on a hinge with pulling outward?

- Answer I comes with a thin polyester dust filter, doubt there would be room for an actual HEPA filter. Plus if you added a thicker filter it probably wouldn't cool right. Better to run a HEPA room air cleaner separately and not modify something like this.

QuestionI’d like to use the ac in multiple rooms. One room has a 30” window which requires cutting the extender because the exhaust hole is 2/3 covered. The window in the other room is 34”. If I cut the extender to fit the 30” how do I make it work on the 34”?

- Answer It is LOUD! I was very disappointed with how loud this model actually is. And it is NOT energy efficient which was also disappointing considering the price point.

- Answer Hi, The exhaust hose extends up to 3.9 feet. Attaching a longer venting hose will void the 1-year warranty. Thank you.

- Answer Use the included drain tube, uncap a drain port and run the tube to a bucket. You’ll need to empty a five gallon bucket twice a day if it’s really humid, but it won’t shut off.
