“I want to move my thermostat from my living room area to my dining room wall,there is an opening between the two rooms and because the joists run the opposite way ,there may be a problem fishing the wire through,is there another solution to my problem.”

This unit needs to be wired. Check to see if others have a remote thermostat that can wifi to the receiver attached to the furnace. At this time I do not know of one.
