The thermostat is powered by your furnace with the C wire. If you lose wifi you can still set manually.

However, this is somewhat of a moot point because the thermostat is powered via a wired connection to your furnace. If power is lost to your whole house for some reason, then your furnace and your thermostat along with your WiFi won’t have power anyway. In the event WiFi goes out due to a connection issue, your thermostat will still have power, and therefore will continue to follow any programming that was previously set. You would just not be able to remotely access the thermostat to make any adjustments until the WiFi connection is restored.
