“My thermostat is not connected to Wi-Fi. My question is how do I set my thermostat for the heater to come on? The system is on heat the fan is on auto. There is nothing on run schedule. Time is that correct. However my heat will not come on.”

You should check the settings to make sure it is configured for your heater. The default setting for the thermostat does not work for every heater. It will kick on the HVAC blower but will not activate the heating element or pump if it's set wrong.
