Tap water is fine but it will build residue overtime. Just keep it clean on the inside.Unplug it remove the filter and you will have full access to the inner parts. And remember to dry it at the end of the season before you store it away. I run mine all year as it keep my office more comfortable as it add some humidity to a working space that usually run with 18/20% average( modern glass building with no window opening option).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use tap water (mine has a filter though) and it works just fine. Not sure about how this will effect the unit over any extended time though. I only plan to use mine until our AC is fixed. The directions don't specify using special water though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Trust me when I say this, you can use tap water. Don't waste your money to buy mineral water when tap water does the job just as great. My unit has been up and running fantastically for over 3 years now, and I only use tap water. Enjoy!
