• yes it works with heat pumps, there is a configuration upon installation, it is really easy to use, and if you run into an issue customer service is there to help!

• Yes. I am using it with a heat pump. They keep saying you must have a C wire, both other stores and the quick start guide. But a few pages deep into the actual instructions, they give the different possible combinations like mine where I have no C, but had B and G. I think the specs are referring to older heating systems, but not correctly showing everything it supports

• Yes works fine with a heat pump just be sure your tstat wire is a 5 wire system. Easy to install if your tstat has 5 wires. All you have to do is to take your tstat off the wall and see what the wire configuration is...
