I have a heat pump with Emergency Gas Back up and it works fine for that. You do have to switch to emergency heat manually on my system
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Pretty sure it will not work. You have a custom heating system which is outside the bounds of this system. The only application would also be a custom one unfortunately...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, works fine. https://www.ecobee.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/ecobee_Wiring_HeatPump1.pdf
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. But be careful with the wiring, Nest does not use one of the wire that sense the temperature outside. Professional installation is recommended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a 2 stage heat pump and electric aux heat. The Nest would always skip Stage 2 heat and jump directly to aux heat if Stage 1 wasn't enough. This cost me money and so didn't work for me. It also does not allow you to set the aux heat lockout below 32 degrees. I'm not sure if it would be the same with a Gas secondary heat source vs electric.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
