Oscillation of existing cool air when oscillator mode is engaged. It uses no refrigerant. It is not an A/C. A simple tower fan.

Why do people think these things cool the air? It's just a fan. Like all fans throughout history it just moves air. There is no refrigerant to remove the heat from the surrounding air.

It cools. I sends lovely cool air, even though it has no refrigeration. I suffer from menopause and I've used several fans. This one COOLS as it oscillates! Or you can have it stationary, if you like.

Seems like it does cool. We do not use air conditioning and the air coming out of the fan is drastically cooler than the air in the apartment.
