Q: QuestionThe upstairs for my townhome will register in the upper 60's for humidity. If I place the this unit on the middle floor will it handle the upstairs as well or do I need to place where I'm having the issue? Home is 1,850 sq ft

Q: QuestionDoes the app work over the internet (meaning you can be anywhere and still control the unit with the App)?

• A:Answer Yes. I was able to turn off WiFi on my iPhone and control the unit using cellular. I tested changing the fan speed while next to the unit and the it immediately changed speed. I also changed the humidity level but that doesn't cause a visible change on the unit because it displays the humidity level of the room. I assume it works because I can kill the app, connect to WiFi, and see that the unit has the same level that I set when using cellular data.

Q: QuestionTwo hoses came with Honeywell dehumidifier. A continuous gravity feed hose & hose tubing to use w pump modes. Pump hose leaks but continuous gravity hose does not. Can I just gravity hose w pump?. It’s long enough to reach my drain. Manual not help

Q: QuestionThe description says it removes up to 70 pints of moisture per day. The online manual says the bucket is only 14 pints meaning I would need to empty it several times per day. Is the bucket really only 14 pints?

• A:Answer You can use the condensate for watering plants and gardens without any worry. However, do not use the water collected for drinking/cooking, or any consumption by animals. These do not clean the water, and any/all bacteria, viruses, and dirt does stick the the moisture that forms on the coils and drips down into the bucket. Not to mention whatever may be growing on the coils.

• A:Answer Simple filtration will not guarantee the water meets health code potable water standards, and thusly, it is not safe to drink. Everything in your air, from dirt, mold, bacteria, viruses, smog, and everything in between will collect on the moisture that builds up on the coils and continue to drain into the condensate pan. Those coils allow all sorts of growth to occur and without a full water treatment system, there is absolutely no way to guarantee that you or animals won't get sick. You can use it to water plants and such, but even then, there is a small chance you could introduce a mold to them that could kill their roots and such. At the end of the day... caveat emptor
