It will alert based off of temperature adjustments made on the schedule you set, or geofencing settings you set. You can also set it to alert based off of indoor temperature. I have not used that alert, so I'm not entirely sure what it does. You can lock the screen completely so no one can adjust the temperature, and you can have only 1 user manage the device. You can also add/remove users very easily.

I have mine set to alert me if the temp goes under 50 degrees so I can intervene and prevent my pipes from freezing. Yes, you can set it so only one person has access (that's the default)....and you can lock the screen too.

Please try again later.The Honeywell T5+ Smart Programmable Touch-Screen Wi-Fi Thermostat operates from the Honeywell Homes app, with this you are allowed to add multiple users, however does not have the capability of determining what users make a temp change.
