• You cannot use *most* extension cords due to the current draw. However, internal house wiring for a 20A circuit (most house circuits are 15A) is AWG12. So an extension with 12 gauge wire, or better yet 10 gauge, will be fine. And expensive.

• I would never recommend using an extension cord with any electric heating device. It is a huge fire hazard !
