However, this unit is meant for supplemental heating, so you can keep your main house heat set lower, and use this unit to heat up only the room that is currently being used. • I haven't gotten an electric bill yet, but it has two power settings, 900 watts and 1500 watts. I use it on low power because my house wiring is old, but it works fine. I have used similar heaters in the past and the electric bill did go up some, but right now my furnace isn't working, so that's alright by me.
