Ken If the charger is showing that the battery is fully charged but the battery is only lasting 2 minutes I would have to say you need a new battery since it is not holding the charge. The charger should be fine since it is charging the battery. Hope that helps :)

Before we can determine what needs to be done to fix your unit can you please try these resetting steps listed below: 1. Remove your battery from your charger 2. Unplug your charger from the wall outlet for 1 minute 3. Insert your battery into your unit 4. Turn your unit in the "ON" position for 30 seconds 5. Plug your charger back into the wall outlet 6. Place your battery onto the charger 7. If the battery is properly charging you will notice 3 Blue LED lights illuminating in row 8. Allow the battery to charge for 3 hrs. or until the Blue battery power indicator lights turn off and the charging light turn off 9. after charging your unit should run for 15-20 minutes -Doug, Hoover Customer Care
