• You can use the lift away with ease. For further extension pull out the handle wand to gain reach and rigidity.

• Hi Sm! Yes, the vacuum can go into its above-floor cleaning mode with relative ease. The hose is the only thing you need to detach from the side of the unit to start cleaning. Hope this helps! -Michael, Hoover Customer Care
