It does pick up kitty litter, doesnt leave any debris behind or relocate litter, it goes into the canister. And emptying the canister doesnt get your hands dirty, unless cat hair was picked up first, it clings to the center filter and might need a couple taps to fall down the canister as easily as dirt.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.initially yes it works for kitty litter, unfortunately the suction wore out in less than 6 months and won't suck with a darn so now there is debris under when I'm done. I don't even use it anymore. the canister cleans out well, the mess is minimal.
