QuestionJust bought this sweeper. Used Once. Noticed warm air coming off the motor area, feels warm. Was after doing 3 rooms. Is it typical to actually feel warm air off motor as sweeping and motor quite warm to touch? Have medium height carpet.

- Answer Hi JET! It's normal for warm air to come out from the motor during use. The air is coming out from the exhaust. Hope this helps! -Karissa, Hoover Customer Care

QuestionDoes it pick up kitty litter well? When you pick up the vacuum is there any debris under it? How messy is it to clean the canister? -Do your hands stay clean?

- Answer It does pick up kitty litter, doesnt leave any debris behind or relocate litter, it goes into the canister. And emptying the canister doesnt get your hands dirty, unless cat hair was picked up first, it clings to the center filter and might need a couple taps to fall down the canister as easily as dirt.

- Answer Mine has never shut off on its own, but I think it would. I think most newer vacuums are required to have this safety protection, but I'm not 100% sure.

QuestionI am thinking of purchasing this vacuum for my laminate floors. My Oreck vacuum leaves brush marks on it. Guess I will need to buy one and see, right?

- Answer I have one and it works well on laminate floor. Numbers are a little different my model is a UH72400... I use the brush and no brush . ... so far no scratches. ours is 4-5 years old. looking to purchase another . I have worn out the slots for the little wheels in the front, 2 times...and the lower hose needs replacing .. the hose cost 1/2 the vacuum to replace. I think it is the grout bumps in tile floor in the kitchen. I vacuum daily we have 2 dogs, and a toddler grandchild that likes to sit on the dog bed. .. need clean tile and laminate.... no carpet at this house. Suction is very good. Hope that helps.

- Answer I believe it has a spot to store one tool. But my tools stay in the handy bag that comes with the unit and hangs on the back of my washroom door.

QuestionDoes this vacuum work well with long human hair, or would I need to sweep first? In other words, will have issues with anything getting tangled inside, potentially reducing the long-term effectiveness of the vacuum? Thanks in advance!

- Answer It says that it is supposed to suck hair right in and not get tangled in the brush but it only sucks up short hair , the long hair gets caught in the brush roller My wife and daughter have long hair and I have already seen hair wrapped around the brush roller I guess I'll have to cut and clean the hair like my old vac

- Answer Yes, like any vacuum with brushes hair does get wrapped around the brushes. Is easy to pull out roller and cut hair out. I have had to do it a couple times already.

- Answer Hi Kimmy! Unfortunately there's no way to tell if the vacuum is picking up too much carpet fibers. It's normal for some loose fibers to be picked up. You can try turning the brushes off to see if that helps. Please let us know if you still need us! ~Kenya, Hoover Customer Care
