“Does this vacuum work well with long human hair, or would I need to sweep first? In other words, will have issues with anything getting tangled inside, potentially reducing the long-term effectiveness of the vacuum? Thanks in advance!”

It says that it is supposed to suck hair right in and not get tangled in the brush but it only sucks up short hair , the long hair gets caught in the brush roller My wife and daughter have long hair and I have already seen hair wrapped around the brush roller I guess I'll have to cut and clean the hair like my old vac

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES! It will pick up long hair as well. The suction is great and works well with cleaning up after my doggies (all 5), and routine house vacuuming. Of course, like with any other household appliance, general upkeep and maintenance should keep your Hoover vac running a long time. My general rule is, once you empty out the canister, inspect the roller brush and clean, remove debris as needed to keep roller brush to maintain its speed and pickup. Great vacuum!
