“When I Turn I on it turns blinking red right after. It’s the Hoover model bh52210”

• The red light means the unit is going through a charging cycle.

• Try making sure all the components are secured properly such as the dust cup or the filter, etc.

• Usually needs more charging. It happens to me. But when i charged to maybe 1 to 1.5 hours its fine. But in your case if the problem cont. After let say full hour or 1.5 hrs charged and the red still blinking just return it and get a new one. ( if ur covered with insurance at bestbuy)
