Dust yes... cat litter, I do not know I don’t have a cat. Dog hair, yes!

It's been great for picking up kitty litter that my cat "kicks" out of the litter box. It's not massive amounts, but the little bit around the box - no problem. It even gets it out of the grout on the tile floor when I use the roller brush feature.
