The receptacle where you put the water on one side and the cleaning solution on the other side can be removed easily You can then pour the solution out Is that what you were referring to ?

The solution in the tank is intended to be fully used during the cleaning process, however it can still be emptied if needed. First, ensure your cleaner is unplugged and the clean & dirty water tanks are empty. Then, make sure your unit is on "Rinse" mode by turning the knob on the front of the clean water tank. From there you will be able to empty any excess solution out through the same cap you filled it into. We recommend using something to funnel the solution out to prevent any accidental spills and doing so in a laundry room sink to make spill clean up quick and easy.
