“Can this be used as a regular vacuum cleaner without steam cleaning ?”

• I wouldn't recommend that. This is designed to wash carpet post a good vacuuming. I think it would be hard for the vacuum cleaner to suck up all the hair without water. Either way, if you're looking for a good carpet cleaner, this is a great choice!!

• I have used it as a vacuum, BUT only for most minimal pick-up. Typical vacuum use would block, and ultimately break the machine.
