Hi NeCo! The Power Scrub Elite comes with a multitude of upgrades from the original, such as the new Quick/Power modes, which while in quick mode, will cause the unit to dispense less water and allow the carpets to dry faster. Hope this helps! -Michael, Hoover Customer Care
