“Can you use the vacuum just to sweep the carpet?”

• The manual says specifically *not* to use the Hoover carpet washer as a dry vacuum cleaner (page 10). Also, the "Spin Scrub" brushes work differently than the beater in a dry vacuum.

• We recommend vacuuming prior to using the Power Scrub and other carpet deep cleaners. While they do have suction like a vacuum, carpet cleaners are designed to pull up wet messes, stains, water and solution and is not a replacement for regular vacuuming. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team
