Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are referring to the small connectors under the plastic door at the base they are for the hose assembly hook ups. I don’t know if all models come with a hose or not, but it is good for carpeted stairs, cloth chairs and the like. Some models have hook ups for both their own tank and additional/ external cleaners or additives depending on the need/ application.

You'll see the hose has two ends, but the end that connects to the cleaner has another connection piece that is clear. The purpose of that piece is it will mix solution with the clean water as you use your hose for a controlled amount.
