Hi Irv, the Power Scrub should be able to deep clean those rug fibers beautifully depending on your carpet pile. Just remember to stroke your carpeting in a steady. deliberate manner during cleaning and run a rinse cycle over the carpeting after shampooing. Let us know if you have any more questions. We're here for you. -Ian Hoover Customer Care
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I cannot comment on your case in particular, but I was VERY impressed with its ability to get out deep soil. Arguably among the best. It brought all the high traffic areas in my house back to life. The amount of filth it pulled up was astounding. It got out grape juice stains, years old toddler accident stains that NOTHING got out before. I'm super impressed to say the least.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This machine will remove imbedded soil if you go over the area a few times.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it removed an amazing amount of dirt from the stair treads but I did not examine it closely to look at the root of the rug fibers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your basic pathway cleaning comes up easily-but I would suggest if you have deep stains or something old, to pre-treat first and then use the machine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I actually saw grains of sand when I used mine!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any time I hear inbedded and at the root of the rug fibers I think this in not the cleaner for this person. You need a professional carpet cleaning service. This is a good machine to do rooms with light to medium soiled carpet and for spot cleaning. If you have inbedded dirt you have gone way to long and this machine will get up some dirt but you might be very disappointed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is a tough question. I guess you would have to inspect first for embedded soil, then use the unit and see if it was gone. I have not done this, but my water was fairly dirty after cleaning, and the carpet is vacuumed every two weeks, so I assume at least some of this dirt was imbedded. In any case, my carpet is cleaner than it was before and I am happy with it. I looked at a website that rated cleaners before I bought and this one was rated the best.
