Hi Aztree1976! The unit can be used on hard floors, but without the hard floor attachment, it can cause damage to hard surfaces. The hard floor attachment comes standard on select models, but can be purchased separately. Hope this helps! -Michael, Hoover Customer Care
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not the machine for hardwood floors or laminates. If you use any machine which utilizes water on those types of floors, they need to be completely sealed or you will destroy them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does, but you must be very careful to vacuum up as much of the water as possible. You could/should also wipe the excess water off as well. Also, don't do it frequently. If you live in a humid climate, I don't recommend it. I have ruined a laminate floor by doing it too often and not pulling up the water as well as I should have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, using it on our hardwood floors with no detergent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You say "The unit can be used on hard floors, but without the hard floor attachment,"....WRONG - The unit can be used on hard floors, but NOT without the hard floor attachment. BIG DIFFERENCE...HUGE DIFFERENCE - Ever heard of proof reading? Gheese...some people.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm going to say you shouldn't use it on the hardwood floors just because it might scratch it and with the amount of water being sprayed, it could damage the floors.
