• I just tried mine on carpet and does not appear to work for hardwood. I would not recommend it by the way it works. My old unit did both and had a squeegee.

• Yes, it works wonders on hard floors. Just make sure to use the proper cleaning solution for hardfloors.

• It designed and functions as carpet cleaner. It cannot be used for cleaning hard surfaces.
