• Hi Bubba! First, attach one end of the hose to the front of the nozzle base by opening the round clear hose door. Then, attach the upholstery tool to the other end of the hose then power cleaner on and you're ready to go! • The same hose sucks the water. It has a small hose inside to bring the shampoo to the end. When you press the trigger at the end of the hose the small hose let water with solution to go, if you release the trigger it stops. The big hose is always sucking up.
