• It is a carpet shampooer. It works by spraying water and cleaner on the floor and scrubbing it. Then you suck up the water/cleaning/dirt mixture. It does not operate as a standard vacuum cleaner. I own the Hoover carpet cleaner to wet scrub my carpet and a Dyson for vacuuming the carpets.

• While it does vacuum it would not make a good replacement for a standard vacuum it’s to big and designed to pickup water.

• This is a Shampooer, it is for wet cleaning. It does more than carpets.
