I had this same problem…kept cleaning out the roller and front yet the dirty water tank remained empty. What I was missing was the little red filter under the dirty water tank right on the machine!!! I admit I felt silly that I didn’t see this even though there’s a clear label telling you to clean it! Fixed my problem in two seconds!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same problem. Noticed on our second use that no water was being sucked into the dirty water reservoir. Clean water came out, left the carpet soaked but didn't suck any water up. We had to hand dry the carpet with towels. I'll be taking this back tomorrow. I strongly suggest against this purchase for anyone interested. It's not just one review but multiple having the same issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I fixed mine- remove the floater in the tank!! The design flaw is that the suction is so powerful that even with an empty tank, the floater (intended to signal when tank is full) gets sucked right up from pressure of the suction. Which immediately stops the air flow and denies any water into the tank. I took mine out and it works like an industrial monster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had the same problem. This machine does an excellent job of cleaning but has one flaw..it clogs easily. I noticed the area below and surrounding the roller was loaded with a dense mat of pet hair which quickly clogged the port leading to the dirty water tank. Therefore the clean water solution was bypassing the tank and going directly back into the carpet. This was right after vacuuming! I surmised the problem was with my old vacuum machine not doing it's job. Bought a new vacuum and bingo..problem solved. The suction is so good on the carpet cleaner that it still picks up a small amount of hair but not enough to clog it. Best way to clean the roller area is to simply slide your finger along the bottom and then use an air compressor, with a long extension tube, to blow out the remaining hair. Don't have to remove the roller housing which takes a long time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Someone else in the reviews suggested this but clean the little red filter underneath the dirty water tank! We’ve had ours for a year and it all the sudden stopped sucking up water and the dirty water tank would be empty after doing a whole floor..took the filter out and cleaned it -now it works perfect again!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Take it apart and clean filters and rollers and rinse out the clear plastic over roller by taking out the storage tank.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just wanted to second the guy that mentioned the floater in the tank. I had a bunch of wet dog hair that had gotten stuck under it and pushed it up and as soon as I shook and scooped all of that out it got to sucking things up like new. I'm not at the point of taking the piece OUT like that commenter did but if it happens again, I will. It's pretty pointless for anyone who has enough of an eye and common sense to not let that tank get so full it leaks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think I know what your problem is!! I have a large Hoover Power Scrub and discovered over time that the seal for the dirty water tank lid no longer worked. Since there were gaps, the dirty water stopped getting picked up. I ended up gluing pieces of wide rubber band to the area where the seal went and have made it work since then.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Water was reversed. Put fresh water in upper container and waste goes to lower container. Its a baby toy. $80 down the drain. The rug stays too wet and stains dont come out on low pile rug. Never again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The little rubber stopper has to be plugged in on the resivoir tank where the dirty water goes to. A d . Ame sure tank is locked in good
