• Hello Anna, You will need a Hoover Solution to use with this machine. We normally recommend the Hoover Oxy Carpet Deep Cleaning Formula (model#: AH30950), but if you have pets we can also recommend the Hoover Paws and Claws Carpet Cleaning Formula (model#: AH30925). Thank you! Matt - Hoover Team

• It comes with a small bottle of cleaner but u can use any carpet cleaner in it.
