“I used my Smart cleaner for the first time. I went through a whole tank of water but only sucked up 1/4 into bottom tank. Is that normal? I felt like my carpet was very damp after.”

Does not sound normal. Did you go over the area several times? Also there is a dry only option that helps to dry the carpet. The carpet should be damp when done but not soaked.

This is most likely due to the amount/length of the backwards passes over the wet area. Since SmartWash+ automatically suctions and drys when pulled back, we recommend that you pull back slow to give the cleaner a chance to pull up as much dirty water as possible. After cleaning, if your carpets are still damp you can press they "Dry Only" button on top to further dry your carpets without putting down more water and solution. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team
