Yeah it is a bad design. The solution tank does not "click" into place, and the valve pushes the tank back up.

My solution is to only fill 1/3 of the solution tank, that minimizes the leakage

Glad I only borrowed it--I'll know to purchase a different unit!

HELP!  It isn't even a year old.  Water is pouring from the carry handle with or without the solution tank.

I have the same issue. I've only used my cleaner about three times and this has happened. I don't know how to fix it. I ordered a replacement solution tank, but that didn't do anything to solve the issue.

I haven’t had any problems with mine. Make sure there are no brakes or pinches on the seals of the tanks spout nor the entry port of the device. Put the tank back on leveled and apply firm pressure. If that didn’t work you may have a defective tank and I would say replace or modify with your own rubber gasket
