Hey Janis, Thank you for your question! Yes, you can use SmartWash on oriental wool carpets, however, be sure to check that the water does not seep to the hard floors below as they can be damaged if not dried during the cleaning process. Also, be sure and check that your carpets are wet cleanable. You can do this by checking the tag for a "W" or "S/W" (for wet clean or dry and wet clean) on the label or by testing the colorfastness in a small hidden area with a damp rag and a paper towel.
