QuestionI am using my Hoover Smartwash for the first time. It worked great at first, but now it stays on Dry and won't wash. I've checked for jams, pushed the DRY button, turned it on and off twice. It will not go to Wash. Any suggestions?

QuestionJust bought my cleaner today and went to remove the Clear nozzle piece on the front to clean it. And I must have pulled too hard because 2 little springs popped out and I can’t figure out where they belong.

QuestionI purchased the smart wash yesterday and tried to use it but the LED wash light did not come on. The dry LED light came on. I was disappointed because I've had a hard time finding one in stock in the store and didn't want to wait a couple days online!

- Answer Thank you for your question. Place the handle of your SmartWash+ in the upright position. The FlexForce™ PowerBrushes will not rotate while handle is in the upright position. Pre-spray the area by holding the tool about one inch above the carpet and push it forward while pressing the trigger. QuestionMy question is about the HeatForce™ feature on this carpet cleaner. It is supposed to blow warm air during drying. My unit did this the first 2 times I used it, a very important feature to me, now it only blows cold air. What do you suppose happened?

- Answer Hey Sandy, thank you for your question. The HeatForce™ feature blows air underneath the unit to improve carpet drying times. The temperature of the air may vary due to a variety of factors, but the movement of air underneath the cleaner should still assist with drying your carpets. QuestionI put the solution in as directed and pressed firmly as directed. Went to go fill my water tank and the soap had leaked out all over the floor. What did I do wrong? Internal defect? Everything is connected correctly.

First check for any jams such as hair that may have gotten tangled on the brush roll, then recline your SmartWash with the handle release and power the unit on and off two times. QuestionIs there a way to turn off the "Automatic Cleaning Technology"? I think that feature is cool but when I'm done cleaning I usually blow dry, if I'm cleaning upholstery but sometimes on the carpet, so instead the heat and vacuum only mode would be awesome.

- Answer Have you read the manual, brochure or ad? All clearly state that you can turn off the auto feature and use just vaccuum and blow dry feature. The button to do so is prominently displayed to the left of the handle.

QuestionIf this model is like the older model it will do hardwood and tile. So what is the real answer to this question about tile and hardwood. Do you have to use the cleaner because i dont use cleaners. In other words will it work without the clener.

- Answer No cleaner hot steam will do the trick I know this because I did it with hot water it takes just a little over few minutes an area about 10 feet by 10 feet.

QuestionI am interested in a vacuum cleaner that not only vacuums but shampoos the carpet quickly and efficiently and dries quickly. I need a vacuum and I need a shampooer so I need a tool that does both efficiently.

- Answer This model cleans rugs by spraying water and cleaner mixture when you push forward and sucks up the excess water (and dry heats) on the pull back. In my experience (5 or 6 different cleaners), that is how they generally work. It works well, but if you do more than one pass, the carpet will be a little wet. Wet carpet cleaners don't double as a regular vacuum cleaners and generally advise to vacuum the carpet before using them.

- Answer Yes you can just don’t run too much wash it works better then a mop in those hard to scrub area in seconds once you are satisfied use dry only which should be near the handle left side. Happy cleaning!

- Answer Mine too! It leaks out and drips down the back side and onto the floor. Very disappointing. I have to remove the solution bottle from the cleaner each time I stop it to clean the tank or fill the water. Never leave solution sitting in the cleaner. The seals are obviously no good. I plan on taking it back to Best Buy for service or replacement.
